Yes, if you see the check engine light come on, that means there is something wrong with the motor, or there could be another sensor that may trigger the light to come on. In most vehicles, something as small as leaving the gas door or cap open can set off the sensor to make the check engine light come on. The car will need to come by our shop to get the code erased because it will always be in place until it is deleted.
